This revolution will not be televised
In the last fortnight there have been clashes between demonstrators and Police in a capital city.
Protesters have set up barricades to stop access to the city centre.
The President has threatened to expel foreign reporters for covering the protests.
The Leader of the Opposition has been arrested on charges of of inciting violence during recent street protests which left at least four dead.
But this is not Egypt or Ukraine.
It is Venezuela.
Yet whilst the stories have been on the BBC website, i have not seen them on the various BBC and other television news programmes.
The protests have not led to regime change, yet the TV stations were all over the Egyptian and Ukrainian protests before change happened.
I don't know why Venezuela is being treated differently. Is it because it is not on the edge of Europe? Or because not enough people have been killed yet?
For whatever reason, I feel that we are missing out on what could be a very important story.
